UPDATE: Nigeria's Economy Not Yet In Recession

Looks like there is a disagreement between the Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun and the Minister of Budget and National Planning, Udoma Udo Udoma, with regard to the scary issue of "recession".
While the Finance Minister told the Senate earlier today that Nigeria's economy is technically in the realm of recession, we observed that the Budget and National Planning Minister said we are not there, yet.

Udo Udoma said Nigeria can't said to be in recession unless the negative indicators that were present in the first half of the year, 2016, continue all through this second half which just started.

That said, Minister Udoma admitted things are hard but added that the Federal Government is doing everything to change the outlook in the shortest possible time, and lift Nigerians out of poverty.
